Collected here are some materials drawn from ongoing research into the history of the word voodoo in English.

They include The V Word, a draft outline of that history; some remarks on a much-quoted vodou chant; and a selection of texts concerning vaudoux and voodoo transcribed from English- and French-language sources from the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
